From aerobics to ziplining, physical activity includes any bodily movement that requires energy expenditure. Regardless of one’s current health or physical abilities, staying active is key for overall wellness—even brief bouts of movement provide benefits as they can really add up! This challenge helps participants move more and focus on fitness fundamentals by learning about and practicing different types of movement that can contribute to a well-rounded, holistic fitness routine. As a bonus, they’ll receive weekly health tips about the role rest plays in recovery and performance!
To start, participants will learn important information about the benefits of and recommendations for physical activity; ways to move more and sit less; and tips to find movements that motivate them. In this activity challenge, participants will then earn additional Wellable Points for healthy movement as well as engaging in four different types of Physical Activity Exercises (activities focused on endurance, strength, flexibility, and mobility). To encourage team comradery, there will also be an opportunity to earn additional Wellable Points for submitting a Fitness Photo!
In a team-based challenge, participants will be entered into a raffle to win a reward for each Physical Activity Exercise they complete. A bonus raffle will award a prize to two teams that submit a Group Fitness Photo during the challenge. Grand prizes will also be awarded to all participants of the winning team that earns the most Wellable Points during the challenge.
The raffle structure helps stretch a rewards budget for maximum impact by encouraging participation throughout the challenge, as the odds of winning a prize increase with the more Physical Activity Exercises a participant practices and with the more Wellable Points a participant earns.

During the challenge, participants will learn and practice four fitness moves that comprise a well-rounded fitness routine. These include endurance, strength, balance, and flexibility exercises. For those who enjoy instructor-led workouts, sample fitness classes ranging in difficulty from beginner to advanced levels will be provided. Each exercise can be logged for Wellable Points once during the challenge but can be practiced as often as the participant would like.
Exercising in a group decreases stress and increases accountability. Since group fitness is a wonderful way to stay active and promote a sense of community, participants will be encouraged to snap a photo either exercising with teammates or engaging in some form of healthy movement that is contributing to their team’s overall progress. After submitting the photo, participants will receive a Verification Code to log the completion of this activity to earn Wellable Points.
There is no limit to the number of participants that can be part of a team, so teams can be any size. Wellable recommends creating teams of between four and eight members to ensure the benefits of being part of a team are achieved while maintaining accountability.
Teams are ranked by the average number of Wellable Points for all members of a team. This means that teammates with zero Wellable Points during a challenge will lower the score of the entire team, which is why encouraging your teammates to stay active throughout the challenge is so important.
Yes! You can incorporate additional internal or external fitness resources during the challenge by utilizing Wellable’s customizable Bulletin Board and Special Activity feature. Even though this challenge provides participants with sample fitness classes to demonstrate each of the four Physical Activity Exercises, there are additional opportunities to promote and award participants with Wellable Points for taking advantage of resources like Wellable’s On-Demand library of fitness classes or participating in virtual and on-site Wellness Services to promote healthy movement with teambuilding.
